The below seeding equipment is available for rent to Cooperators. Renter picks up equipment from previous user or equipment can be delivered for $50 and picked up for $50.  User is responsible for greasing equipment and cleaning out unused seed. Contact Liz Hook (302) 365-8970.

Please be aware that as of January 1st, 2020, all equipment rentals are only available to those in New Castle County.

John Deere 1590

No-till Drill

Cost:

$10.00 per acre (if doing a crosshatch pattern, $5 is charged for the second pass).

​

Features:

Plants 10 foot wide (travels 10.5’ wide),

Come with an acreage meter

​

​

3.5 tons empty


Plants cool season grasses, switchgrass, legumes, sunflowers, soybeans and has a separate hopper for small seeds (timothy, clovers and alfalfa).

​

Seed is placed in rows 7.5" apart.

​

​

User Notices:
Needs 85 horsepower tractor and must have hydraulics.

​

Planter MUST be picked up at the District office and pulled behind a tractor or heavy duty pickup (no half tons). 

​

Brillion Seeder

Cost:

$10.00 per acre.

Plants 8 foot wide (travels 11’+ wide),

1+ ton empty.


Plants legumes, cool and warm season grasses and has a separate hopper for small seeds (timothy, clovers and alfalfa).

 


Seed is dropped continuously across 8’ width.

 

User Notices:
Ground must be worked up first.


Needs a tractor with hydraulics to raise and lower traveling wheels.

 

Planter can be pulled behind a pickup truck.
